Veterinary Nurse Pet Sitting

Purrrfect Pals is a bespoke Pet Care Service provided by Registered Veterinary Nurse Gemma Ainsworth.  Based in Caterham, Surrey, Gemma provides home visits when you have to leave your pets for your holidays, breaks and trips away.

“When family and friends are unable to pet sit, you may find yourself with no other option than to leave your Feline friends or small furries at the local cattery. If you’re a bit like me, then you would prefer your cat, bunny, guinea pig, hamster or tortoise enjoy a bespoke one-to-one service ensuring they are cared for daily in the comfort of their family home.

I can provide once or twice daily visits, which will include feeding, medicating, cleaning, cuddles and playtime, depending on your pet’s personality and needs. For security you can also request curtains are opened and closed and lights turned on and off to make your home look more lived in whilst you are away. For added security, I use an unmarked car with no advertising, so as not to draw attention to your being away from the property.

I am fully insured and have many years experience in pet sitting and veterinary nursing. I also regularly foster for Cats Protection and the RSPCA. Working at Vet on the Hill in Caterham, a Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Registered Practice, I continually update and develop my knowledge, skills and expertise in animal nursing and care.

I believe that pets, particularly cats, are much happier left in the comfort of their own homes whilst their owners are away for work or holidays. I believe that allowing them to remain in their own surroundings is far less stressful for them, than being placed in a new environment with strange smells, noises and other animals within close proximity, even if they were placed in the loveliest of catteries.
